BRaIN Laboratory
The Behavioural Research and Integrative Neuroscience (BRaIN) Laboratory is housed within the Psychology Department and affiliated with the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program at UNLV. We are dedicated to investigating neural structures and circuits involved in sensorimotor and cognitive function. We strive to specialize in translational assessments that are sensitive at identifying disruptions early in the onset and progression of various diseases with the hope to increase treatment options. Our team utilizes a variety of techniques, including behavioral, in vivo multi-site neural recording, and tissue staining.
Our Research
Our research focuses on understanding the complex workings of the brain and its impact on behavior. We use innovative techniques to investigate neural structures and circuits involved in sensorimotor and cognitive function. Our goal is to develop translational assessments that are sensitive at detecting behavioral and neural changes in diseases. We believe that our research can lead to a better understanding of the brain and provide insights into the development of treatments for neurological disorders.
