The BRaIN Lab took over NASA's Human Research Program Investigators’ Workshop in Galveston, TX from Jan. 28 to Jan. 31, 2025.
With three posters and two talks, the lab had an engaging experience sharing their findings with NASA professionals and learning about the other amazing research contributing to space exploration!

Teresa, Nuhamine, and Sierra spearheaded a project on cooperative string pulling:Two rats, one string: Cooperative behavior after exposure to space flight stressors.
Jonathan and Diana led a poster on a discrimination task: Impact of radiation (4He) exposure and sleep fragmentation on memory and motor skill adaptation in rat string-pulling behavior.

Ketan and Zachary presented their findings from their internship at University of Florida with Dr. Rachael Seidler: String-Pulling Task for Assessing Human Sensorimotor Function and Adaptation in Spaceflight Research.
Kaela and Susan examined the role of radiation exposure type order through their talk: Double irradiated male wistar rats display differential sensorimotor deficits in string-pulling behavior.

Doc, Nicole, and Aavash discussed the lab's novel assessment of dual cognitive motor task performance in rodents: Dual cognitive motor task performance in sleep fragmented sham and irradiated wistar rats.

Fantastic job to everyone for their hard work!
